RANCH 7 SIXTEEN LLC
OUR STORY
In Ontario, as a small first time Quarter Horse Breeder we ran into countless struggles. There was no instruction manual on how hard it would be to breed our mares to American Reining Stallions. Purchasing the semen from the American breeders was the easy part. Quickly, we were met with endless timing issues; the mares cycling window versus the ever changing time of the shipment arrival. What should have been 10 am pick up quickly turned into 4pm afternoons. Making UPS Mississauga my home office for the day. The semen was held at customs, "just because"; the ladies at the counter explained. Closing our already small window to breed. The worry I felt sitting in my “home office” waiting for the semen to be released to me for the second time was unmatched. I had put all my savings into this dream. Finally by the time the semen arrived it was 24 hrs old (or more) and the motility may or may not be up to par. My veterinarian explained with a clean breed and everything on your side, you may find a sweet little heart beat in a few weeks time. If not, we’d have to start this process all over again, along with cycling our mares; pouring more savings into my dream before four little feet ever hit the ground.
Sitting in that “home office” waiting for my shipment; Ranch 7 Sixteen LLC was born. A facility where Canadian horses can go to be bred; that is fairly close to Ontario; all while being cost effective and less stressful!
Not only would we love to see more bloodline diversity in our show pen but it will also help bring new life to our equine industry as a whole. Reiners, Western Pleasure, Cow Horses, it doesn’t matter. We want to help people be able to grow their own dreams!
Send your mare to us to have bred by Veterinary Professionals, and have her home once she's confirmed foal.
Without the worry if the semen is going to make it to you on time, or incurring DOUBLE or TRIPLE the Canadian shipping charges!
No stress, just an adorable little foal in 11months.
